Even Hercules could not hold
The weight of the world,
And gave Atlas his burden back.
I am no Atlas, no Titan,
And Zeus is not my father.
A mere human, I.
The weight of the world
Rests on my shoulders
Only to push me down.
I must let things slide.
Unless I can stand upright,
I cannot carry even my share.

Ah, the things we carry on our backs… I’m with you in that I try to do so many things, to help so many friends, to solve so many problems, to worry for everyone else, that sometimes I fear I might be crushed under the weight. Nice Post.

It is easy to carry too much.

What a great post and a very good argument why we need to let things go. Why do we tend to carry the weight of the world on our shoulders?
